Held May 28, 2025
The Board of Commissioners of Northwest Georgia Housing Authority met at its regular meeting at 326 W 901 St. Rome, Georgia, 8:30 a.m., on the day of May 28, 2025.
Called to Order
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Betty Sue Hickman, and, upon roll call, those present and absent are as follows:
Present: Betty Sue Hickman, Billy Cooper, Brian Bojo (via Zoom), Ronnie Wallace
Absent: Lillie Dyar
Chairperson Hickman declared a quorum present.

Approval of Minutes of the regular meeting held on April 30, 2025 - Chairperson Hickman asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes. Commissioner Cooper made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Wallace. The motion was approved unanimously.

Reports
Finance Department Update - Mr. Justin Jones reported per the unaudited Statement of Net Position. As Of April 2023, our Net Position is Total operating revenues as of April 2025 are $3,871,879. The April ending cash available is $81,276. Approval of NWGHA Financial Statements for April 2025:

Justin Jones asked directors not to orally present their monthly reports, and if the Commissioners have any questions or comments.
Executive Director Comments
Justin Jones repotted that Rockmart Children's Academy has a signed contract with Toles, Temple & Wright to list the property at $2.75 million. This is contingent upon HUD's approval. Mr. Jones has requested that the June board meeting be rescheduled for June 26th. Commissioners' approval was granted.
